Dr. Daniel O'BrienWelcome to St. Thomas University's world wide web page.

Our presence on the web is a concrete illustration of the importance we place on technology and its place in our lives.

If you are a member of the St. Thomas community, I hope you will find our site and its links useful and informative. Humanities and the social sciences are not incompatible with our society's increasing use of technology. In fact, the use of the Internet and all it encompasses can serve to greatly enhance the study of the liberal arts. It is a useful tool to help connect us to the world.

If you are considering joining us as a student here in Fredericton, I hope you will take some time to explore our site. Our on-line admissions handbook is a great introduction to who we are and what we are all about.

Our innovative Aquinas programme and Humanities 1003 course will be of particular interest to students interested in exciting new learning opportunities for their first year of university study. In addition to traditional bachelor of arts programs in such fields as anthropology, English and political science, we offer specialized programs in criminology, gerontology and Native studies.

For more information on our programmes in arts, applied arts, social work and education, I invite you to contact our admissions office. To find out more about a particular arts discipline, why not check out our on-line calendar.

Again, thank you for stopping by. I hope you will visit our site again soon.
