Major in Anthropology:
Students majoring in anthropology are required to complete a minimum
of 39 credit hours in anthropology, including the following required
courses:
i. All of:
ANTH 1013
Introduction to Cultural Anthropology
ANTH 1023 Introduction to Physical Anthropology
ANTH 1033 Introduction to Archaeology
ANTH 2513 or Cultural Anthropology
ANTH 2523 Social Anthropology
ANTH 2806 Readings in Anthropological Theory
ANTH 3913 Introduction to Qualitative Research Methods
ANTH 4003 Issues in Anthropology
Any course in area ethnography
ii. At least one course at the 2000 level or above from each of archaeology
and physical anthropology
iii. Two additional courses at the 3000 level or above.
