OUTLINE:
An investigation of the history of childrens literature, this
course uses the resources of the UNBs Childrens Literature
Collection to explore the development of literature for children.
REQUIRED TEXTS:

EVALUATION:
Attendance - 10%
Portfolio- to be discussed in class 50% (due date to be determined)
Critiques - to be discussed in class 10% (due dates to be determined)
Final Examination 30%
Please note
that TWO copies of the major assignment must be submitted and each date-stamped
and signed by the departmental secretary. Any assignment handed in late
will be subject to a deduction of 5% per day. No assignments will be
marked after the others have been returned.

Of Interest
- Students may wish to take advantage of the material in the Children's
Literature Collection which is housed in the Nan Gregg Room (HIL, 4th
floor). This is a non-circulating collection and, due to its special
nature, eating and drinking in the room are prohibited.
