Myfanwy Davies (pronounced Mavon/wee Davis)

Myfanwy brings more than a decade of radio journalism experience to her teaching duties at St. Thomas University. Born and raised in Bathurst, New Brunswick. She began her career as a professional journalist in 1990, working as a reporter at CFRA, in Ottawa. Since then she's worked for public broadcasters around the world. Myfanwy joined CBC Radio in 1991. She has worked as a reporter and producer in Halifax, Moncton and Windsor, Ontario. Her work has been heard by local, regional and national audiences. She was hired as the the Ontario Correspondent for a public radio feed service based in Ann Arbor, Michigan and held that position until she moved back to the Maritimes in 1998. Myfanwy has been working at CBC Radio in Halifax since then. She was part of CBC Halifax's award-winning team coverage of the crash of Swissair Flight 111. Through freelance assignments, Myfanwy's work has also appeared on public radio in the United States and the BBC. She is married and the mother of one child. She now lives in Fredericton.
