Well, fall has arrived and November marks my third month as the new Alumni Affairs Officer.

I am very confident when I say I feel I have finally settled in. I am also happy to report that the Alumni Golf Tournament and Homecoming Reunion 2000 were both big hits! Many thanks to Greg Byrne, BA ‘84, and Karen Lee Lamrock, BA ‘97, co-chairs of the golf tournament, and Andy Wood, BA ‘73 BEd ‘76, chair of Homecoming Reunion 2000, for all the time and effort in making these events so successful. We could not have done it without you.

I am very excited about upcoming events, the first being the Alumni Christmas Party to be held December 8 in Fredericton. As well, planning of our next Gala Dinner is underway with this year’s chair, Valerie O’Brien, and is slated for January 27, 2001 at the Sheraton Inn in Fredericton. This year’s event will pay tribute to Harry Rigby and again raise funds for the Millennium Bursary Program. For ticket information you may call the Alumni Affairs Office at (506) 452-0602. Our Annual Giving Campaign will commence the month of February, 2001, and plans for rebuilding our chapter organizations throughout Canada are in the works. Also, please take note on pages 12 and 13 of our magazine for the new Testimonial Advertising that St. Thomas has created. You may have seen these in your local news paper. Anyone interested in volunteering to help get your chapter active again, please contact our Alumni Office.
