The Thomists Launch '90 and Zero'

Thomists

The Thomists launched their new CD ‘90 and Zero’ on March 17, St. Patrick’s Day at the Sheraton Fredericton Hotel. Alumni and friends came out in great numbers to dance to the sounds of the big band between 5:30 and 9 pm.

The Thomists played several sets throughout the evening, blending the new with the old and selecting songs from their extensive repertoir of nearly 1,000 songs. The dance floor was crowded and the mood was swinging as people kicked up their heels.

The Thomists also had a recent performance at the opening ceremonies of the ECMA’s held at South market Billiards in Saint John this past January.

While ‘90 and Zero’ is the first CD for the Thomists, it is the tenth album to be released by the band since its incarnation in 1965. The album consists of 18 tracks of familiar jazz songs and is available by contacting a member of the Thomists, or the Office of University Advancement at 506-452-0645.
