ATHLETES OF THE MONTH 2005-2006 Athlete of the Month is selected from the Athlete of the Week selections for that particular month. However, additional nominations may be accepted for consideration no later than Monday following the last day of the month. A male or female selection will be made based on nominations. STU Coastal Graphics Athlete of the Month for February, 2006 Chris Tufts—Men’s Volleyball Chris Tufts of the Men’s Volleyball Team has been selected as St. Thomas University COASTAL GRAPHICS Athlete of the Month for February. The 4 th year senior was a key player in the Tommies capturing the ACAA Volleyball Championship title to earn a berth in the CCAA National Championship in Quebec City. In the two championship matches, Chris chipped in 27 kills, 3 blocks, 15 digs and 1 service ace. Tufts was named Player of the Match in the Tommies semi-final win, as well as being selected as the Male MVP of the ACAA Championship. Chris was also recognized as a 1 st team ACAA all-star and the MVP for the entire ACAA league. Chris is a 4 th year student from Truro, NS.
