Roger Graves began his teaching career in southern Ontario where he also earned degrees from the universities of Waterloo and Toronto. He completed his doctoral degree in the rhetoric, and composition program at The Ohio State University and has taught composition, rhetoric, business writing, and technical communication in Canada and the United States. He is currently teaching language, writing, and rhetoric in the department of English at DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois. His research interests include: intercultural communication, technical writing programs in Canada, "plain" language, and the effects of computer-mediated communication on modern literate practices.
