For Immediate Release: March 4, 2002 St. Thomas hosts 22nd Annual Atlantic Academic Undergraduate English Conference The 22nd Annual Atlantic Academic Undergraduate English Conference (AAUEC) is being hosted by St. Thomas University from March 15-17. The conference permits students from the Atlantic Provinces and the state of Maine to meet and exchange ideas while experiencing a different academic environment. The conference is designed to promote academic excellence by providing students with the experience of presenting a paper to their peers in a formal conference setting. Organized by fourth-year English Honours student, Heather Gillett, conference highlights will include a performance of "The Taming of the Shrew" by the St. Thomas Early English Drama Society, and a reading by award-winning poet Matt Robinson.
