for a rebate of 50 percent of your tuition. Proof of age is required
if you plan to ask for the rebate. A complete list of these fees is
included in the annual guide to course selection. Typically these include:

Full Time: $4,145
To Audit: Half Tuition

Note: A discount of 10% on tuition fees may be available when
two or more immediate members of the same family attend St. Thomas University
concurrently on a full time basis. The discount is not available to
major scholarship recipients nor to dependents of University employees.
Your tuition fees include all regular university charges for tuition,
laboratories, libraries, athletics, creative arts, health services and
accident insurance. There is also a parking fee $75 payable at the financial
services office if you are bringing a car to campus.
Student Union fees are $181 per year if you are studying full time.
Part-time students pay a percentage of Student Union fees, based on
the number of courses they're taking. You should also budget for books.
Books vary considerably from course to course. Your professors will
be able to give you an idea of what to expect.

"My immediate concern in returning to full-time studies was
how was I going to be able to support myself financially while maintaining
full-time status as a student? The individuals within the administrative
office were very helpful in answering my questions about finances and
helped to guide me to the appropriate resources. I have been fully supported
by Canada and New Brunswick Loans and Bursaries, and without the governmental
support, my four years here at St. Thomas University would not have
been an option. I am very proud to say that I have been awarded several
scholarships and bursaries since beginning full-time studies. In addition,
I was awarded the University Medal for Academic Excellence in the Bachelor
of Arts programme at the 2001 May convocation. This year I am enroled
in the Bachelor of Social Work degree programme, which I will complete
in July 2002.
