The following minimum requirements have been established as a guide to students applying for admission to first year. Please note, however, that fulfilling these minimum requirements does not guarantee admission to the University. High School Applicants Note: Quebec and Ontario applicants - please refer to province specific requirements at the end of this section.

and Management Quebec Quebec applicants must have completed a Grade 12 program, or received a high school leaving certificate (Grade 11) and successfully completed one year of CEGEP. Subject distribution and other minimum requirements are as for other Canadian applicants. Applicants who have completed an appropriate two-year CEGEP program may be considered for advanced standing to a maximum of 30 credit hours. Ontario Ontario applicants must offer a minimum average of 70% on five courses (4U, acceptable 4M, courses) with subject distribution, including the compulsory English 4U credit, as for other Canadian applicants. During the transition to the new Ontario secondary school curriculum, a combination of OAC and 4U/4M credits which satisfies our grade and distribution requirements will be acceptable. First Year Studies Programme: A limited number of applicants with admissions averages between 60 and 69.4 per cent are considered for admission to St. Thomas as "First Year Studies" students. These students will follow the curriculum prescribed for all first-year students. If they achieve an average of C or better on their first-year courses, they will be eligible to enrol in the Arts or Social Work degree programs at the end of first year, and all successfully completed credits will be transferred to their degree programs.
