A Certificate Programme for Practitioners The certificate programme in criminology and social justice is designed to encourage those engaged in the administration of law and order to critically evaluate and consider the increasingly complex challenges of our criminal justice system. The certificate programme offers individuals an opportunity to explore the relationship between criminology and social justice and the impact that critical analysis and discovery impacts on their own front-line practice. This programme is designed to be taken on a part-time basis by individuals who already have at least one year of work experience in the field of criminal justice or public safety. It consists of a minimum of 36 credit hours, 18 of which are required, the rest are electives. Gaining Admission You must have had
at least one year’s work experience in the field of criminal justice
to be considered for admission to the certificate programme. You must
be at least 21 years old and provide evidence that would suggest potential
