Student
Main Menu Options
What's
my User ID?
If you do forget your Username use this option to retrieve it. You will
be required to enter your last name AND either your SIN (Social
Insurance Number) or Student ID (which is your student number
with a leading zero (eg. 0912345). Click on Submit and your username
will be displayed on the screen.
Change
Password
To change your password select this option. You will be required to
enter your username, new password, and confirm your new password by
typing it again. You will also be given an opportunity to enter a "password
hint". It is strongly suggested that you do enter a password hint
even though it is not required. Click Submit.
After you have
changed your password select MENU in the top right-hand corner. The
Student Main Menu will then be displayed.
Note: Passwords
must be 6 to 9 characters in length and include both letters and numbers.
Address
Change
To add or change address information visit the Registrar's Office or
email registrar@stu.ca.
If you choose to email ensure that you include your student number
and whether it is a local address (where you reside while attending
STU) or a home address (where you reside when not attending STU).
Search
for Classes
The Search for Classes is the only option on the Student Main Menu that
does not require a username and password to access it.
When selecting
this option you will be presented with a screen which will aid in tailoring
the information to what you are looking for. The only required field
on this screen is term. However you should enter choices in the
subject field; otherwise the system may attempt to bring up a list of
all courses at STU and you session may be timed out. Fill in the screen
using the drop down boxes at the end of most fields. The more information
you enter on this screen the more specific your search will be. Click
Submit. The results of your search will be displayed on a new screen.
To print the screen
displaying the results of your search click on the Print button located
on the main toolbar.
My
Class Schedule
Select this option to view a copy of your schedule. You will be required
to select the term for which you would like to see your class schedule.
Use the drop down menu to select a term and click Submit. Your schedule
will be displayed. You can use the print button on the toolbar to print
this screen if desired.
*Note*
Courses for which you are waitlisted will appear at the end
of your schedule with an Add status. This does not indicate
you are in the course but instead indicates you are "added"
to the waitlist for the course !!
Grades
To view your grades, select this option from the Student Main Menu.
A screen will be displayed prompting you to select one term for
which you would like your grades to be displayed. Click on the box next
to the desired term. Click Submit. Your grades will then be displayed
on a new screen. You can use the print button on the toolbar to print
this screen if desired.
Transcript
The transcript option will allow you to view all courses attempted as
well as your cumulative GPA and credits completed. When you select this
option you will be prompted to enter a transcript type. The three
options available from the drop down menu will be UG, BE, and
PS.
Select UG for Undergraduate transcripts.
Select BE if you would like a copy of your Bachelor of Education
transcript.
Select PS if you would like a copy of your Post-degree Social
Work transcript.
Click Submit.
You may use the
print button on the toolbar to print your unofficial transcript if desired.
Official transcripts must be requested through the Registrar's Office.
Note: GPA is
displayed to three decimal places on the screen, however on your official
transcript your GPA will be rounded to one decimal place.
