1987 Volvo 744TGO

My first Volvo was a 1987 740 Turbo. I've owned two more since then, both of which have been turbos. The two - Volvos and turbos - seem to go hand in hand.

I purchased this car in 1998, mostly because it was the same vintage as my first Volvo. I expect to keep it for a good many years, transforming it into the car that God (who is not required to build for the mass market) intended it to be.

Thus far, I've concentrated primarily on suspension. The car has IPD lowering springs, IPD sway bars, a Cherry Turbos strut tower brace, and Tokico performance shocks. The latest addition has been TSW 17" Blade wheels, accompanied by Firestone Firehawk SZ50 215/45 x 17 tires.

The TSW wheels have exposed my puny rotors and rusty calipers for all the world to see. Fixing that is the next project. After that ...?
